Position Summary
A Cashier/Barista at Epicure Cafe will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, preparing high-quality beverages, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and welcoming café environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

- Greet customers warmly and create a friendly, positive atmosphere.
- Assist guests with menu selections, answer questions, and offer recommendations.
- Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally and promptly.
- Operate the cash register/POS system accurately.
- Process cash, card, and digital payments.
- Maintain an organized and clean checkout area.
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, espresso-based beverages, and specialty drinks following café recipes.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other equipment safely.
- Maintain consistency in drink quality, taste, and presentation.
- Restock and rotate coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other ingredients.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
- Restock display cases and ensure items look fresh and appealing.
- Keep the café tidy, including tables, counters, equipment, and floors.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth service flow.
- Assist with inventory checks and restocking supplies.
- Follow café policies, safety guidelines, and operational standards.
Qualifications
- Able to multi-task
- Ability to stand for long period so time, lift 25 lbs., and bend, climb or work in confined spaces
- Customer service focused and solution oriented
- Basic math skills and Toast POS familiarity.
- Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs
- Food handler's card may be required according to local and or state regulations

Compensation: $8.00 - $12.50 per hour
